Al Duhail coach Hernan Crespo spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Sadd.

“We have a match that speaks for itself and everyone knows its importance for us in order to win the league title. We will face a distinguished team and the match will be a new challenge for us, and we are ready for it.

“We had to overcome many difficulties this season. We missed a large number of our international players as well as injuries that deprived us of the services of a number of our players for long periods. The absence of Edmilson made us learn a lot and in our next match we will not be complacent. The players will continue their strong performance on the field.

“The players must remain calm, understand the importance of the match and show their strong personality, as they had in previous matches,” said Crespo.

Al Duhail player Yousef Ayman said, “I have confidence in my team-mates’ ability to produce a positive result against Al Sadd and win the league title. We will go into the match to get the three points and win the league title, and I am sure that my team-mates will do their best on the field.

“This season was not easy for us because of the absences that we suffered since the beginning and I must thank the coaching staff and coach Crespo, who gave me confidence and made me develop. That also helped me correct my mistakes and improve my level.”
