Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 14 match against Al Shamal.
“First, I would like to thank all players for the great effort they made during the last match against Al Sadd, which we won by a 1-0 margin, and I hope that the victories and positive results will continue.
“We know that we are facing a difficult match, but I trust the ability of Qatar SC players to perform well and achieve a positive result against Al Shamal, one of the strongest teams this season.
“I am happy with the team’s focus throughout the last match from the first minute to the last, and playing with a high fighting spirit, and I hope that this strong performance will continue in the upcoming match against Al Shamal so that we can achieve the goals we aspire to in the league championship this season.
“We are indeed suffering from the absence of a number of influential players. Badr Benoun was injured and Javi Martinez was injured in the last match and was unable to train until recently. Percy Tau also suffered a health problem, but I trust the ability of players who are ready to provide the required performance,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Abdullah Al Muftah said, “A difficult match awaits us against Al Shamal, who are performing well and are considered as one of the best teams this season, but we are looking to achieve a positive result and continue to advance in the league table.
“The team is at an increasing level based on the results in the second leg and we know that all matches will be difficult, but we are ready with ambition and a desire to achieve results that befit Qatar SC and satisfy our fans.”
