Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sadd.

“I am very happy to be joining the Al Arabi coaching team. Yes, the team is going through a difficult period, but I believe we are capable of overcoming it and moving forward to achieve the best results.

“We have good players in the team, and we just need to regain confidence. The Al Sadd match will be a strong incentive for the players to give their best and achieve a result that will put the team back in the competitive frame of mind,” said Cosmin.

Al Arabi player Alexis Perez said, “We are well prepared for the match, despite the strength of the opponents, but we need to win to regain confidence, and our goal is to come away with the three points.

“Al Sadd are a strong team, and the match will not be easy, and we must fully adhere to the coach's instructions in order to achieve the desired result.”
