Al Markhiya coach Poya Asbaghi spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Jeetour League Week 5 match against Qatar U-23 National Team.

“The team is focused on continuing its hard work and improving performance, following four consecutive victories that have placed us at the top of standings with a perfect record. We must give importance to the team’s on-field display, building upon positive aspects and continuing to progress step by step.

“The upcoming match against Qatar U-23 National Team will require a different approach, given the quality of their players and their style of play. It is difficult to maintain a high level of performance and consistent positive results throughout the season, But I have confidence in the squad’s ability to navigate the challenges ahead,” said Asbaghi.

Al Markhiya player Mohammed Soltani said, “We must sustain the winning streak and maintain a winning mentality, achieved through focus, competing for every ball, fostering teamwork and strictly adhering to the coaching staff’s instructions.”
