Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 5 match against Al Sadd.
“Equipping the players on the technical, physical and psychological fronts, especially after the defeat in the last match against Umm Salal where we were the best according to statistics, was tough. We faced some problems in gaining control of the ball from the opponents and also scoring goals.
“We know the Al Sadd team well and despite the absence of 15 players, they can do very well with outstanding youngsters. Al Sadd will try to get out of the current situation with a positive result. Both teams, God willing, will be at the required level and ready at the psychological and physical levels, and we will play a good match.
“Self-confidence is very important. Also, scoring goals. Certainly, football is a game of goals. We must seize opportunities. When many opportunities are missed, you will certainly concede goals. We are better than last year, but we lack goals,” said Trabelsi.
Al Sailiya player Ramy Fayez said, “Al Sailiya’s games against Al Sadd are always strong. I do not care about evaluating my individual performance and care more for the team to achieve a positive result.
“I hope to be able to help my team and, God willing, the next match will see us return to the right path and start achieving positive results.”
