Amine Zouhzouh scored the only goal as Al Duhail lost to Al Wakrah in Week 2 of the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday.

Zouhzouh stepped up to convert from the spot in the 10th minute after Ibrahima Bamba had fouled him inside the box to give Al Wakrah an encouraging start to the highly-entertaining encounter.

Things turned from bad to worse for Al Duhail in the 35th minute as they were reduced to 10 men after goalkeeper Salah Zakaria was given the marching orders for handling a headed backpass by Jean-Charles Castelletto outside the 18-yard box.

With their one-man advantage, The Blue Wave unsurprisingly took control of the match and they seemed to have extended their lead through Redounae Berkane in the 43rd minute only to be denied after a thorough VAR check.
