Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Umm Salal.

“All of Al Sailiya’s remaining matches in the league championship are very difficult. Umm Salal’s results of late were not good and their coach was replaced, but despite that they have good local and foreign players. We will strive to preserve the psychological boost that we got from winning our first-leg match against Al Shamal. We will have no excuse for not achieving a positive result against Umm Salal and we hope to be fully focused and disciplined.

“The match is important and we still have a long way to go. All upcoming games are of great importance to Al Sailiya and we have been suffering from psychological pressure for more than a year and a half. That pressure generated mistakes. The players must be liberated on the psychological front for them to give off their best on the field,” said Trabelsi.

Al Sailiya player Mohammed Mudather said, “A difficult match awaits us against Umm Salal, especially since they seek to compensate for their recent losses. They have a new coach as well, therefore the game will be more difficult, and we are in a crucial situation. We have no option than score victory and collect the three points.”
