Al Ahli face Al Markhiya in Week 22 (final round) of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The kick-off is at 19:00.

This is the last match of this season’s league championship and the only one to be played Tuesday, as the other five fixtures are scheduled for Monday, May 8.

Both Al Ahli and Al Markhiya had assured themselves their place in next season’s top flight, but would be keen to finish the season on a winning note.

Al Ahli are placed eighth with 21 points (five victories, six draws and 10 defeats) and Al Markhiya seventh with 24 points (seven victories, three draws and 11 defeats).

Both sides are coming off defeat, Al Ahli losing 0-2 to Qatar SC and Al Markhiya losing 1-3 to Al Sailiya in the last round (Week 21).

Both teams include a number of players with distinguished levels and the competition will also be between both teams’ coaches to collect full points.
