Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Wakrah.

“We are in a situation where we need every point and we are well aware that the next match is of utmost importance because the opponents are a good, organized and tactically strong team. They had made an excellent start at the beginning of the league that gave them have the mentality of victories and became more harmonious and performed well since last season. And they are continuing the outstanding performance this season.

“We, at Al Sailiya, need to improve at the psychological level and start reaping positive results, so we can be psychologically free. We are working to improve overall and we will do our best to appear in a distinctive way in this match.

“We have had a very bad first leg in this season’s league, which was a repeat of last season. We repeated same mistakes and I do not want to touch on psychological aspects, but there are some things at the psychological level that have a great impact on the team for more than two years and the administration is looking for solutions,” said Trabelsi.

Al Sailiya player Abdullah Mahmoud said, “The match against Al Wakrah will be strong and we are striving to achieve the best result despite the fact that we are aware of the difficulty of playing a great team that seeks tops places in the league.

“We face Al Wakrah with the ambition of winning and collecting the three points, and our preparations for the match were excellent. We also appreciate Al Wakrah for being a good team, therefore we are required to be fully prepared. We trained a lot on how to end attacks and take advantage of opportunities correctly. The game will not be easy, but we prepared the best way and are looking for the best results.”
