
Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab and Al Rayyan played out a 2-2 draw in their fourth-round match of Gulf Club Champions League in Riyadh on Tuesday.
Al Rayyan were two goals up through Wesley Ribeiro (fifth minute) and (40th minute), ensuring a comfortable lead for the Qatari side going into half-time.
Just when it seemed Al Rayyan were on the verge of their second victory in the tournament, Al Shabab turned the situation around through Abdullah Matuq (52nd minute) and Abderrazak Hamdallah (58th minute) to end the match with the spoils evenly shared.
Al Rayyan remained on top of the table with six points, while Al Shabab are rooted to the bottom with three points from three draws and a loss.
