Umm Salal coach Patrice Carteron spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 7 match against Al Sadd.

“The game would be difficult against one of the league’s strongest teams, but also presents a significant challenge for my team.

“Of course, we can always perform better. But for me, the goal is to stay in the league, and we can still achieve that right now. I will do my utmost to help the club and the team reach this objective,” said Carteron.

Umm Salal player Antonio Mance said, “The team had been unlucky in recent matches despite the players’ good performances.

“Al Sadd match would undoubtedly be tough and challenging, and we must approach the game calmly and with great focus, fighting for every moment. We know we are facing a great team with outstanding players, but we have the determination and resolve to put on a strong performance and give our best.”
