Al Sadd will face Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale in the quarterfinal of 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.
Al Sadd are looking to win the continental title for the third time in their history, having previously triumphed in 1989 under its old name and then in 2011 as AFC Champions League.
During this edition’s group stage, Al Sadd finished fourth in West Zone with 12 points, before defeating Al Wasl of the UAE 4-2 on aggregate in Round of 16.
Al Sadd enter the match having won the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League for the 18th time in their history and having also reached the final of Qatar Cup 2025 following their 3-0 semifinal victory over Al Ahli.
Kawasaki Frontale advanced to the quarterfinal after defeating Shanghai Shenhua of China 4-0 in the second leg of their Round of 16 after losing the first leg 0-1.
The final matches will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
