Al Sadd face Al Gharafa in Week 4 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Education City Stadium on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2022.

Al Gharafa are looking to overcome their recent loss against Al Shamal, while reigning champions Al Sadd are aiming to continue their positive results after the recent and exciting victory over Al Ahli.

After three rounds, Al Sadd have four points from a victory over Al Ahli, a draw with Umm Salal and loss against Al Markhiya.

Al Gharafa are also on four points, also from a victory over Al Sailiya, a draw with Al Wakrah and defeat against Al Shamal.

It is expected to be an absorbing battle between the teams.

Al Sadd's Spanish coach Juan Manuel Lillo ‘Juanma’ has begun to find the right combination for the team given the recent victory over Al Ahli, especially since many of their international players are absent and the coach has to rely on a group of young players alongside the foreign professional quintet.

On the other hand, Italian coach Andrea Stramaccioni of Al Gharafa will need to correct the mistakes they made in the last clash with Al Shamal, which saw them lose for the first time this season.

Al Gharafa have among their ranks many young players who have been with the team since last season, along with experienced players such as Algerian Yacine Brahimi, Mehdi Tahrat, Moyad Hassan and goalkeeper Qasem Burhan.
