Al Rayyan and Al Duhail will square off in a tough clash of Week 3 of the 2025-26 Doha Bank Stars League at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.30pm.

It is a high-voltage clash given the talent and balance of both the teams.

Al Rayyan enter the match hoping to make up for their loss to Al Shamal in the previous round. Their Portuguese coach Artur Jorge will be aiming to rectify the situation and put the team back on the right track.

Al Rayyan would count on the trio of Roger Guedes, Gabriel Pereira, and Andre Amaro, along with the experience of Spanish defender David Garcia.

Al Duhail, guided by their Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi go into the game with the ambition of finding their first win after they scored a draw and suffered a defeat in their first two rounds.

Belmadi relies on an attacking force led by Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek, alongside Algerian Adel Boulbina, veteran midfielders Marco Verratti and Karim Boudiaf, and the experience of international defender Bassam Al Rawi.

The team will miss their main goalkeeper Salah Zakaria who was sent off in their last match against Al Wakrah.

The Al Rayyan-Al Duhail match is not limited to the players' struggles on the pitch, but also extends to the coaches. While Belmadi seeks to prove his ability to restore Al Duhail's lustre in his return to the team, Jorge aspires to assert his strong technical character and lead the team to the podium this season.
