Al Gharafa take on Ahal FC of Turkmenistan in the second round of their 2022 AFC Champions League campaign in Group C on Sunday, 10th April. The match will kick off at 23:15 at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Al Gharafa had opened their campaign by holding Iranian club Foolad Khouzestan to a goalless draw in Group C, which also includes Shabab Al Ahli Dubai of the UAE.
Al Gharafa played in their first AFC Champions League match since 2018 and Italian coach Andrea Stramaccioni expects his team to put up a good show in the upcoming matches.
The Cheetahs would hope to put it across Ahal and thus post their first victory.
Al Gharafa have in their ranks many players capable of delivering the goods, such as Sofiane Hanni, Cheikh Diabate, Ahmed Alaaeldin, Homam Al Ameen, Muyad Hassan and Gabriel Perez.
On the other hand, Ahal, who battled to hold Shabab Al Ahli Dubai to a 1-1 draw in their opener, too would be keen to register their first victory.
