Al Khor coach Andre Lima spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Al Ahli.

“We must focus on the Al Ahli match and the players are ready to give off their best. I think that our match against Al Ahli will be very difficult, as the two teams are looking for the three points, as we see their position in the standings. So we will give off everything we have in order to get the three points.

“Al Ahli have a good coach and distinguished players, but we studied the situation well to achieve a positive result. We were affected by the result of our last match against Al Sailiya because it is difficult to lose points in the last 10 seconds of the match. But we closed that chapter and now all our focus is on the upcoming matches, which will play like a final.

“We do not want to play the Relegation Play-Off and we have to avoid it. We must work together to save the team from this situation and this is our main goal,” said Lima.

Al Khor player Salem Sultan said, “We play all the remaining matches as if they are finals and we will fight to get the three points against Al Ahli.

“A difficult game ahead of us and we will play all matches as if they are a final. Al Ahli are a tough team, but we worked well to get the three points. Our preparations were excellent and we will implement the coach’s instructions on the pitch.”
