The Qatar Stars League sent an official circular to the 14 QSL member clubs, announcing that the domestic competition for the new season 2015/16 will begin on 11/09/2015.<br />

Last season Al Rayyan battled their way back to the top division and will be joined by Qatar Stars League rookies Mesaimeer Football Club.<br />

Lekhwiya Sports Club are the defending champions of Qatar Stars League. The Red Knights have won the league an impressive 4 times in the last 5 seasons.
