The Qatar Stars League sent an official circular to the 14 QSL member clubs, announcing that the domestic competition for the new season 2015/16 will begin on 11/09/2015.

The match fixture schedule is also soon to be announced. 

Last season Al Rayyan battled their way back to the top division and will be joined by Qatar Stars League rookies Mesaimeer Football Club.

Lekhwiya Sports Club are the defending champions of Qatar Stars League. The Red Knights have won the league an impressive 4 times in the last 5 seasons.
