The official mascot of the AFC U23 Championships Najim continued his promotional visits around Doha, as the competition reaches the semi-final stages.

On Saturday the friendly desert fox visited the AFC referees hotel and was greeted by AFC Deputy Chairman of the Refereeing Committee Hani Ballan, AFC Referees Director Shamsul Al Deen Bin Maidin and the AFC Refereeing Committee Member Abdel Rahman Al Dilawar as well as a number of match officials.
 
Najim has been constantly on the move over the last few weeks visiting a number of schools, shopping malls and Doha sights to promote Asia’s second most important men’s competition. The championships also serve as qualifiers for the upcoming Olympic Games which are being held in Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro.
