Umm-Salal vs Al Khor           4pm
Al Sailiya vs Al Rayyan          6:45pm
Qatar SC vs Al Kharitiyath     6:45pm

Umm Salal will face Al Khor in the early kickoff on Monday, December 21, looking to get over their shock loss to Al Kharaitiyat in the previous round. It was a match that Umm Salal would have expected to win considering that they had pulled off an upset win over El Jaish in Round 12. But instead a brace from Kharaitiyat striker Yahia Kebe consigned them to an unexpected defeat. Umm Salal are currently sixth in the standings and will be looking to win this match and edge closer to their objective of finishing the top 4.

Their opponents, Khor, produced a great counter-attacking game to defeat Al Gharafa 2-0 in the previous round. Gharafa enjoyed a lion’s share of the possession but couldn’t cover their chances and Khor ensured that they didn’t waste theirs.

This was only their third win this season and that has taken them three points clear of Qatar Sports Club in 13th place. Khor will be keen to get points from this match and further distance themselves from the relegation zone.

The second set of matches see the QSL leaders Al Rayyan take on Al Sailiya. Rayyan had lost a high-profile clash to Al Sadd in Round 12 but were able to shrug it off when they defeated Al Ahli in the previous round.

They are comfortably leading the title-race by 10 points but will be looking to further their stamp their dominance. Rayyan’s opponents Sailiya are enjoying a great run right now having won four consecutive matches, including victories over big clubs like Al Sadd and Al Arabi. They will be keen to extend their run of upsets and will be looking at their key striker Faouzi Aaish to find the back of the net. It was the Bahraini player’s brace that helped his team secure a great win over Al Arabi in their previous match.

The other match will see Qatar Sports Club take on Al Kharaityat. Qatar SC are coming off two draws against Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah and will be keen to get a win out of this match. They have only nine points from their 13 matches so far and are in the relegation zone.

Kharaitiyat, meanwhile, are coming off a morale-boosting victory over Umm Salal. They will be keen to win this match and climb up from the 11th place that they currently find themselves in. And they will be counting on Yahia Kebe who has scored eight goals already this season to provide them with the breakthrough. This will be a close contest.
