This week sees the round 23 clash between two in form teams as Al Kharaitiyat make the trip down town to the Suhaim bin Hamad stadium to take on Qatar Sports club this Friday at 20:15.

Qatar Sports Club are reaching dizzying heights as they are currently find themselves in third place with 40 points, the Kings are having a season to remember with new Iraqi head coach Radhi Shenaishil at the helm. In their last six games the Kings have won four games, lost once and drawn once.

Al Kharaitiyat has seen a marked change in their style and performance since Bosnian head coach Amar Osim joined the Thunders in the second half of the season. Despite being in the lower reaches of the table, the blues have started to fight back and are now a much more difficult outfit to beat.

In the last six games Kharaitiyat has won three, drawn two and lost just once. The blues are currently in 9th place in the Qatar Stars League with 27 points.

After winning the coach and player of the month award for February, Kharaitiyat has almost secured their place in the league once again and will look to keep up their momentum as they face perhaps one of their toughest match-ups in the second part of the season.

However with a goal difference of -3 Kharaitiyat will have to keep it tight at the back because Qatar SC has the second top scorer amongst their ranks in the league this year. The indomitable and clinical Hamdi Harboui has been in blistering goal scoring form for the Kings with 19 goals in 20 games this season, of which only 3 goals came from the penalty spot.

However Kharaitiyat too have an in form goal scorer in Hasan Abdul Al Fatah, the Jordanian is in the top five goal scorers list this season with 11 goals.

If Qatar SC win and Al Sadd lose then the Kings will be just two points away from second place whilst if Kharaitiyat win and Arabi lose then the blues will move up and into 8th spot in the Qatar Stars League.
