QSL side Lekhwiya has revealed a new club badge ahead of the 2016/2017 season. The team came together on Saturday evening to formally launch the new design. The new crest will have a color scheme of red and silver, replacing the previous red and gold design, whilst the founding year of the club has also been added into the badge.<br />

Speaking at the launch of the design Lekhwiya midfielder Ali Afif said; “I think the design represents the club well and I hope this new badge can bring the club further success in the new season.”<br />

In other news and Lekhwiya continued to train for their upcoming Sheikh Jassim clash against QSL champions Al Rayyan on September the 12<sup>th</sup>. The Red Knights also welcomed back a host of Qatar national team players who returned to training for the first time after their Russia 2018 qualification matches.<br />

Lekhiwya are set to kick-off their QSL season with a home match against Muaither on the 17<sup>th</sup> of September.
