QSL side Lekhwiya have begun preparations ahead of their round 24 clash against relegation threatened Al Wakrah. Djamel Belmadi’s side trained after a few days rest due to the international break.

The side had a number of key players missing due to international duty. Notable absentee’s included Midfield pair Yussef Msakni and Nam Tae Hee who is representing Tunisia and South Korea respectively. Whilst seven players are with the Qatar national team including Karim Boudiaf, Ismael Mohammed and Khalid Muftah.

The remainder of the squad took part in light training, under the watchful eye of Djamel Belmadi. Lekhwiya are currently in fourth place in the QSL standings, with a tally of 41 points.
