Defending Champions Lekhwiya resumed their training sessions yesterday evening at the club’s training fields after being granted three-days of rest following their loss to Umm Salal in Round 8 of the Qatar Stars League.

The training session witnessed the absence of seven players who have joined the Qatar National Team.

They are as follows:

Claude Amine, Khaled Muftah, Mohamed Tresore, Mohamed Moussa, Karim Boudiaf, Ismail Mohamed and Mohamed Muntari.

The clubs four foreign players are also away with their respective squads. Tunisian Youssef Msakni, the Slovakian Vladimir Weiss and the South Korean Nam Tae Hee are all currently away.

The technical staff led by Head Coach Djamel Belmadi focused on physical training to raise the players’ fitness levels which was then followed by some drills with the ball.

Lekhwiya will play Al Khor in Round 9 of the Qatar Stars League on Sunday the 22nd of Nov 2015 in Qatar Sports Club Stadium.

Lekhwiya is currently in 8th position in the league table with just 10 points from three wins; they have four defeats and one draw.
