Lekhwiya are preparing for their upcoming match against the Saudi side Al Fateh in Group B of the AFC Champions League 2017. The match is scheduled for Monday evening in the Amir Abdulla bin Jalawi Stadium.
Lekhwiya is on top of the group with three points, level on points with Iranian side Isteghlol Khauzitstan who defeated Al Fateh by one goal. While Lekhwiya defeated Al Jazira by three goals to register their three points.

Lekhwiya arrived to Ehsaa city in the KSA on Saturday afternoon 25 Feb 2017. The team conducted their first training session in the Al Fateh Club venue, as the technical staff was keen to focus on the physical fitness followed by light drills with the ball.

Lekhwiya won their Round 22 match versus Al Sailiyah 2-1 before commencing preparations for the Al Fateh game in the AFC Champions League.
