Current QSL champions Lekhwiya eased passed Emir Cup winners Al Sadd 4-1 in the Sheikh Jassim Cup, played at Al Ahli Stadium.<br />

Lekhwiya took a two goal lead through Ismael Mohammed and Mohammed Razak on the 18<sup>th</sup> and 45<sup>th</sup> minute. The Red Knights looked composed in the second half, and rightly had the upper hand in the match.<br />

In the second half Sadd where given a lifeline through young striker Meshaal Al-Shammari who’s powerful effort beat Lekhwiya stopper Amine Lecomte. Lekhwiya confirmed their victory from the penalty spot, through Nam Tae Hee on the 60<sup>th</sup> minte.<br />

Lekhwiya where in fine form, and topped off a fine team performance with a moment of individual brilliance from Slovakian international Vladimir Weiss. The tricky winger beat a number of Sadd defenders in the box, before scoring and sealing a first Sheikh Jassim cup for the Red Knights.
