Lekhwiya will play a friendly match this Thursday evening against Emirati side Al Fujairah in the Abdallah Bin Khalifa stadium in Doha.The match is part of the team’s preseason preparations and will act as a way to get match fit ahead of their crucial quarter-final encounter in the Asian Champions League against Saudi side Al Hilal Saudi on the 25th of August.
The team has resumed its training back at the club’s facilities since returning from their preseason fitness camp in Spain.
Today’s training session saw all players take part with the exception of six players who have joined up with Qatar National team. Nasser Khalfan has gone to join up the Olympic team.
Goalkeeper Ahmed Hatami and Talal Al Qahatani continue their physical exercises as they were absent from the team’s preseason training camp. Hatami is coming back from a surgical operation and Al Qahtani had an operation on his ankle.
