Current QSL champions Lekhwiya lost to the Russian side Zenit St.Petersburg 2-1 in the friendly match yesterday evening at the Aspire Zone.
 
The friendly match was used by Lekhwiya as preparation for their match  against Al Sadd team in the Qatar Super cup which will take place next Thursday at Al Ahli stadium.  
 
Zenit scored both goals in the first half from Brazilian international Hulk. He grabbed his first in the 25^th minute of the match, and then doubled his and his sides tally on the 44^th minute.

In the second half Lekhwiya came back into the tie, with midfielder Youssef Msakni scoring a consolation for  Lekhwiya in the 55th minute.
