QSL side Lekhwiya registered an impressive 3-0 win over AGL side Al Jazira in their 2017 AFC Champions League Group B opener at on Monday evening.

Striker Yusef El Arabi was the hero for the Red Knights bagging a brace, as the Moroccan continued his goalscoring feats for his side. Djamel Belmadi’s side opened the scoring on the 11^th minute though El Arabi, nodding in a Yusef Msakni cross.  Whilst with ten minutes left to play, Yusef Msakni drilled the ball into the back of the net to all but confirm the win for his side.

Lekhwiya rounded off the evening with a goal in stoppage time as El Arabi tapped in from close range from a Ali Afif cross. The victory saw the four time QSL champions climb to the top of group B.
