Michael Laudrup will be happy to see his side back at the top of the standings albeit level on points with Al Sadd. However Lekhwiya has a better goal difference of + 3 goals.

The Dane’s team went back to the top of the standings when Al Sadd lost in a shock defeat to the second bottom team in the league – Al Shahania (3-1) in round 14 of the Qatar Stars League. 

With one round left before the break in the season for the 2015 Asian Cup which his to be held in Australia, both teams will want to end on a high.

Looking at the final round of matches Lekhwiya will play Al Khor who have started to improve their form of late and are currently in 9th position in the league,  whilst the Wolves will take on Al Kharaitiyat who are 12th in the league with 13 points.

Lekhwiya has played 14 games, won 10, drawn 3 and lost 1; Al Sadd has an identical record.
