Round 21 sees a battle of two veteran coaches when Qatar SC take on Al Khor. QSL online decided to have a look at the records of Jean Fernandez & Sebastiao Lazaroni ahead of the relegation clash

Veteran coach Sebastiao Lazaroni will be hoping Qatar SC go for the jugular when his side takes on 11th-placed Al Khor in their round21 clash of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) this week.

Brought in to stop the bleeding at the end of November, the astute Lazaroni has helped 13th-placed Qatar SC produce three successive wins in as many matches.Qatar SC, placed 13th, now have a tally of 20 points from as many games.

Lazaroni, who coached Qatar national squad for a brief period four years ago, is no stranger to the QSL. In recent weeks he has seen his side beat Mesaimeer (3-0), Al Ahli (3-2) and Al Sadd (1-0).
All three important wins came in February, a time when just a handful of QSL games remain in the 2015-16 season.Qatar SC are two spots below Al Khor who have 22 points from 20 matches.

If hosts Qatar SC can beat visitors Al Khor on Sunday, then they could step away from the relegation clutch for the first time this season.

But for that to happen, Lazaroni would be hoping Han Kook-Young - who scored twice last week - retains his goal-scoring touch in the coming clash as well.

With Lazaroni seeking to escape the relegation trap, rival coach Jean Hernandez must be wondering when Al Khor could snap out of a three-match losing streak. After posting six wins in the first four months of the season, Al Khor have picked up the bad habit of losing games last month.
In February, Al Khor went winless following demoralizing defeats at the hands of Al Ahli (0-2), Al Sadd (1-3) and Al Rayyan (0-1) to allow a resurgent Qatar SC the chance of possible going past them this week.

Al Khor, now placed in 11th spot, did not lose more than two games in a month the entire season but February was clearly a time to forget for Fernandez's boys are just above Al Kharatiyat (21 points), Qatar SC (20) and Mesaimeer (4).

Another loss for Al khor this week could mean Qatar SC will leapfrog past them in the QSL points table.

Al Khor - usually a stubborn side on home turf - may find the going tough when they visit Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium on March 6 clash. For Al Khor, it is clearly a case of a win or drop down the rankings and move closer to the dreaded QSL relegation zone.
