QSL Champions Al Rayyan has moved quickly to replace Jorge Fossati announcing the signing of former Lekhwiya head coach Michael Laudrup.

The Lions made the announcement via social media, and the former Danish international is expected to arrive in Doha in the next few hours to formally sign a contract with the club.
Laudrup is no stranger to the Qatar Stars League having lead Lekhwiya to a league and cup double in his only season in charge. Whilst in the AFC Champions League he took the Red Knights to the quarter finals.

With Al Rayyan returning to the Champions League for this season, Laudrup’s experience with Lekhiwya was seen as vital by the Al Rayyan hierarchy.
