Al Khor had drawn their previous game against Al Kharaitiyat and was looking to get back to winning ways as they faced the Waves in round 25 of the Qatar Stars League.
Al Khor got off the mark when Julio Cesar showed some nifty footwork by the left wing, he then sent in a cross which reached the unmarked Madson at the far post (22’).
And that’s how the first half ended as Khor kept their one –nil lead going into the break.
In the second half Wakrah started to push Al Khor futher back as they looked for the equalizer but Al Khor could have had a penalty in the 66th minute when Cesar was clearly fould but the referee waved play to continue.
The second goal was a pure counter attacking move as Madison ran up the other end of the field and laid off a perfectly weighted pass to Cesar who tucked away his 13 goal of the season.
The two late goals by Marco Antonio Mianda Filho (81’) and Julio Cesar (85’) all but sealed a memorable win for the Knights.
Al Khor now moves up and into 10th spot in the Qatar Stars League with 30 points.
