QSL side El Jaish has all but confirmed their qualification for the AFC Champions League last 16 with a 0-0 draw away from home against Uzbekistani side Nasaf.

In a game of few chances, it was Sabri Lamouchi’s side who remained firm against the attacks posed from Nasaf. The first chance of note for Nasaf fell to Artur Gevorkyan, however his shot was easily handled by Khalifa Abubacar.

El Jaish did look dangerous on the break at times and Abderrazzaq Hamedallah had the best chance of the first half, but was quickly denied by Nasaf keeper Eldorbek Suyunov, the first half ended honors even at 0-0.

The best chance of the second half fell to Azamat Allaniyozov, however his powerful back-post header was easily handled by the Qatari international stopper. In the second half Nasaf raised the pressure, but El Jaish remained resilient with the ever dependable Khalifa Abubacar.

The result leaves El Jaish at the top of group D with ten points, they will be playing Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the next two match days.
