QSL side Umm Salal has suffered a double injury blow, announcing that midfielder Mohammed Al-Malki & Striker Nasser Khalfan will be long term absentees for The Orange Fortress.
The club confirmed that both players have ruptured their cruciate knee ligaments, and are expected to be out of action for six months. Al-Malki injured his knee in round 21 against Lekhwiya, whilst Nasser Khalfan injured his knee in training last night for the side.
The injury news will be a major blow for Bulent Uygen’s side as they are currently battling for the Qatar Cup places. Umm Salal sit in sixth place in the QSL standings with four games left in the season.
