QSL side El Jaish have officially announced that striker Abdulgadir Ilyas will return to the club after his loan stint with Al Khor was cut short before the start of the QSL season.
Ilyas had agreed a one year loan deal with the Knights; however Jaish head coach Sabri Lamouchi has decided to retain the talents of the 27 year attacker following the injury of top scorer Abdulrazak Hamdullah.
In other team news and El Jaish have travelled to Dubai for their crunch AFC Champions League quarter final tie against Al Nasr. The Solders will be without key defender Lucas Mendes who is serving a ban in the tie.
Earlier on in the week the AFC over turned the result of the previous tie, a 3-0 win to Al Nar in favor of El Jaish. This was in the light of nationality issues around Al Nasr attacker and former Al Arabi man Wanderly.
Jaish open up their domestic season at home against Al Wakrah on Sunday the 16th of September.
