Both team Al Sailiya and El Jaish are currently enjoying good QSL seasons, despite Sailiya dropping points to table topping Al Rayyan 2-1, whilst last time out El Jaish defeated Al Ahli 1-0.
Both sides have been on fine form over the last few months, which will make for an exciting match when the teams face each other on Sunday the 3rd of January at Al Gharafa stadium, kick off at 18:45pm.
In previous encounters both teams met on six occasions in addition to this season’s 2015/2016 first leg match. El Jaish have certainly had the better of their rivals over recent years.
El Jaish ran out winner in both ties for the 2012/2013 season. In the first leg Jaish registered a 2-0 win, whilst the solders ran out winners again in the second leg winning 2-1.
Jaish also had the upper hand in the first leg of the 2013/2014 season winning 1-0 whilst the second leg match was a 1-1 draw.
In the 2014/2015 season El Jaish where firmly in command winning comprehensively against the Peregrines. Jaish won twice 5-1 and 3-1 respectively.
