Wednesday nights Qatar Clasico will see Al Rayyan take on Al Sadd in a much anticipated much. At QSL online, we have decided to look at the head to head matches between the two sides. both Al Rayyan and Al Sadd seem to be very balanced in the past five seasons. Both sides met on eight occasions since the 2011/2012 season. 
 
During the eight matches, Al Rayyan have won twice whilst Al Sadd have won on three occasion. The sides have also drawn on three occasions. 
 
It promises to be a high scoring affair with 25 goals scored in the 8 games with an average of 3.12 goals per match. Al Sadd  have scored 13 goals while Al Rayyan has scored 12 goals.
In the first leg of the 2011/2012 season saw Al Rayyan win 2-1, while the second leg match ended in a goalless tie.
 
The 2012/2013 QSL season witnessed the exchange of victories between both sides with the same result 4-1, as Al Sadd won the first leg game while Al Rayyan won the second leg.
Al Sadd won the first leg fixture of the 2013/2014 season by one goal, followed by a draw in the second leg by one goal each.
 
Both teams didn’t meet at all in the 2014/2015 QSL season due to the relegation and participation of Al Rayyan in Qatar Gas League.
 
In the previous QSL season 2015/2016, which witnessed the strong comeback of Al Rayyan, Al Sadd overcame Al Rayyan 2-1 in the first leg match, which was the first defeat for Al Rayyan following 11 consecutive victories that moved over to win the QSL title. The second leg match witnessed the tie by two goals each in Round 25, noting that Al Rayyan had already settled the QSL championship in their favor.
