Sardor Rashidov is a major doubt for El Jaish ahead of the Soldiers’ match with Lekhwiya on Thursday (kick-off 7:15 PM).
The Uzbekistan winger picked up a hamstring injury in the AFC Champions League match against Naft Tehran and missed the last league match against Al Gharafa, which ended 2-2. Jaish also have injury concerns over Mohammed Al Jabri and Wesam Rizik, with both players missing training this week.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men are currently second in the QSL but lie a mighty 15 points behind runaway leaders Al Rayyan. This weekend’s match against the reigning champions is an opportunity for Jaish to warm up for their first Champions League group fixture against United Arab Emirates side Al Ain.
