The Romanian National Team defeated Faroe Island 1-0 on Sunday, to remain top of European Championship qualifying Group F.Al-Gharafa Club’s Claudiu Keșerü scored the only goal of the tie in the 21st minute. The striker who joined the Doha based club from Steaua Bucharest in the winter transfer window has been on fire for his new side.
In round 23 of the QSL Keseru bagged four goals against a struggling AL Shamal side, taking his current goal scoring tally to 7 goals in 6 starts.
Keșerü is set to return to Al-Gharafa after his time with the Romanian National Team, to prepare for a tricky away tie to Al Sadd in round 24 of the Qatar Stars League.
