QSL side Al Gharafa has announced the signing of Ghanaian international defender Rashid Sumaila on a one year loan deal from Kuwaiti side Qadisa.
The 23-year-old defender will now join up and prepare with his new team mates ahead of the third round of QSL action.
The deal means that Al Gharafa has confirmed their foreign contingent for the first half of the season. Sumaila joins Vladimir Weiss, Kristian Nemeth and Kooky Han as the selected international players.
In other news, Al Gharafa announced that DR Congo attacker Alain Dioko has moved to newly promoted QSL side Muaither on a season long deal. This will be the attacker’s fourth QSL side, having previously enjoyed stints at Al Kharitiyat, Al Ahli and most recently a six month loan spell at Lekhwiya.
Dioko may also be in line to face his former side, as Al Gharafa take on Muaither in the third round of the QSL on Saturday the 15th of October.
