Al Gharafa lost against Bahraini side Muharraq SC 3-1 in a friendly match played between the two teams on Sunday night.<br />

Muharraq’ s Jassim Ayyash opened the scoring in the fifth minute, but then Gharafa defender Bilal Mohammed restored parity with a 30 yard free-kick.<br />

The first half ended one apiece and reflected a balanced game in which both sides played well.<br />
 <br />
Al Gharafa had some important players missing from their ranks such as defender Anderson and Yassine Chikhaoui as well as Ibrahim Al-Ghanim.<br />

The second half started relatively quietly until the 60^th minute when Muharraq’s<br />
Mustafa Karim received the ball inside the area and chipped it to the left of Qasem Burhan.<br />
Then Tagine added the third goal on the 70^th minute for the Bahrainis and as much as the Cheetahs tried to get back into the match, they simply could break down a stubborn and well organised defence.<br />
