QSL side Al Gharafa has announced the signing of Hungarian international striker Krisztián Németh from MLS side Sporting Kansas City.

The former Liverpool youth prospect is set to sign a contract with the Cheetahs, after undertaking his medical at Aspetar hospital. It is thought that Nemeth will be replacing Tunisian international striker Yassine Chikhaoui who is out with a long term knee injury.

Gharafa will be hoping that Németh can find the back of the net quickly for his new side, so far this season the Cheetahs have only scored thirteen times in sixteen games. This tally is the second lowest in the QSL, after bottom side Meisameer.

Fortunes have changed in recent weeks at Gharafa after the introduction of Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinia. The former Santos Laguna coach has overseen two wins in his first two matches. Caixinia will be hoping for another strong performance from his side when they face Al Arabi in round 17 of the Qatar Stars League.
