Fernandez arrived in Doha yesterday morning and will take over responsibilities as the new head coach of Al Khor F.C. for the 2015/16 season.  The Frenchman will replace Lazlo Boloni who coached the club for three seasons but failed to get them in the top four.<br />

The club is expected to unveil the Frenchman soon after contract negotiations which are still ongoing.<br />

The French coach was invited to attend the final of the Emir Cup final and to finalize negotiations with the signing of a formal contract, before the coach returns to his country.<br />

Jean Fernandez has coached Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia where he achieved great success; he has also coached Al Shabab, Al Wahda and a number of top French teams, including Marseille, Nancy and Montpellier.
