El Jaish contracted officially with the French Head Coach Sabri Lamouch, from Tunisian origins succeeding the Tunisian Head Coach Nabil Maloul, who moved to Kuwait National Team. It is scheduled for the new head coach to arrive in Doha  during the few coming days, with a press conference to announce the contracting details for the media.

A delegation from El Jaish Club headed by Dr. Thani Abdul Rahman Al-Kuwari, the General Secretary and CEO travelled to the French capital city Paris to conclude the contract.
Dr. Thani stated to the Club’s official website: The Club Administration concluded contracting with the French Head Coach Sabri Lamouchi to lead the first team of football. Sabri was born in Lion city in France on 1971 as he was granted the French nationality for being born there.

He started his career in the amateur team Alice, then moved to Auxerre for four seasons until 1998, duriung which he participated in 129 matches and scored 19 goals. After which he transferred to Monaco for two seasons and participated in 54 matches.

On 2000 he became more famous in Europe by joining the Italian Club Parma. For three seasons Sabri participated in 90 matches and scored 7 goals.

Then he transferred on loan to Inter Milan for two seasons, then Jenoa. On 2005 he returned to France to join Marseille for one season as he participated in 36 matches and scored 5 goals. On 2006 he started his adventure in the Qatari league by joining Al-Rayyan, Umm Salal and Al-Kharaitiyat. He was the Head Coach of Al-Kharaitiyat for one season.

  Sabri played 470 matches and scored 79 goals during his football career, while on the national team level he represented France in 19 matches with only one goal. Sabri Lamouchi was the Head Coach of Ivory Coast National Team during 2014 FIFA World Cup.
