1.Rayyan hand out master class in attacking prowess against Qatar Sports Club
Yesterday night Al Rayyan was simply dazzling with their style, power, pace, grace and a clinical edge in front of goal. They scored an astonishing 9 goals against Qatar and never looked likely to concede.

Rayyan have now won nine consecutive matches since the start of the season, and key to that success has been their mix of young local players and big foreign stars. Particularly the Paraguayan international Víctor Cáceres and playmaker Rodrigo Tabata.

The midfielder Cáceres has been integral to the Lions success this season, in his role as a defensive midfielder he has been as solid as a rock and this allows other teammates to bomb forwards and inflict damage on the opposition.

2.Back to winning ways for Gharafa and Lekhwiya
Round 9 was very important for Gharafa and Sadd who have both seen a dramatic dip in form. So much so that Gharafa took radical steps by parting ways with Head Coach Chamusca.  Beating Al Sailiya and getting Dioko scoring again will be a big relief to Cheetahs fans everywhere!

Lekhwiya are still not out of the water just yet, they beat Al Khor 3-2 but it was convincing as problems still plague the defending Champions. Belmadi knows that he can’t afford another loss this season.

3.El Jaish produce good form without their talisman Hamdallah
El Jaish didn’t start the season in the most convincing fashion but bizarrely since the injury to Hamdallah back in Round 7, the Soldiers have put an impressive run of wins culminating with an impressive performance against Al Arabi as they consigned the Dream Team to their third loss this season (4-0).

4.Umm Salal quietly going about their business
The men in Orange have done well this season, especially considering some of the opponents they have faced so far. Umm Salal currently sits in 4th with 4 wins, 4 draws and one loss.

5.Al Wakrah earn important win against Mesaimeer
AL Wakrah made big strides in their six pointer against Mesaimeer in Round 9 of the Qatar Stars League last weekend.  Both teams were hovering around the bottom of the table and with three goals from Sebastian Saez the Waves have propelled themselves up to 9th in the league table.
