- Lekhwiya clinches 4th QSL title
This season has been tougher for Lekhwiya, last term they won the league with two rounds to spare, but this time Lekhwiya were pushed right to the wire.
Lekhwiya amassed 59 points from 25 matches with 18 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats so far.
- Jaish and Qatar clamber for final Asian Champions League spot
Jaish have had a season to forget as they finished below Al Sadd in 3rd place. However Qatar who is in 4th is also eyeing up third place, as it would mean that the Kings would then be in the play-offs to qualify for next season’s Asian Champions League. With Qatar SC only one point behind El Jaish, there is still plenty to play for going into the final round of the Qatar Stars League.
- Mesaimeer and Rayyan get promoted to the Qatar Stars League
Next season will be the first time Mesaimeer will be in the top division. The south Doha Club won promotion in round 16 of the Qatar Gas League, they beat Al Sadd reserves 5-1 at the Grand Hamad stadium on a night that the Club is sure to never forget.
Al Rayyan won the Qatar Gas League and promotion too with 45 points.
