‎Qatar Stars League (QSL) sides are busy playing the second phase of the season as the title race hots up in the last four months of the 2015-16 season.
 
However, going by what happened in the first phase that ended a few days ago, QSL teams will be jostling for positions in phase two that started on Monday.
 
Al Rayyan finished the first leg on the top of the league table with
36 points from 12 wins and only one defeat.
 
Also this season QSL fans witnessed a breaking record performance by Al Rayyan who won 11 consecutive games before losing to Al Sadd in Round 12. El Jaish are in second place with 26 points while Lekhwiya are in third spot with 25 points. Al Sadd fourth with 24 points finished in third spot.
 
With fierce competitions among all teams, the Qatar Stars League Management website is highlighting the most prominent figures and statistics in the first leg by both players and the teams provided by Prozone Company.
 
290 goals with average 3.19 goals per match Total number of goals scored during the first leg were 290 in 91 matches with an average of 3.19 per match. This is a high average which indicates the offensive effectiveness for some of the QSL teams.
The number of goals scored from outside the penalty area were 35.
 
13 goals put Tabata on top of the goal-scorers Al Rayyan striker Rodrigo Tabata is top of the league goal-scorers'
list after the conclusion of the QSL first leg with 13 goals scored in
13 games with an average of one goal per match, followed by Lekhwiya's Youssef Mesakny with 11 goals and Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah of El Jaish player who fired in 10 goals. Al Sadd’s Muriqui and Umm Salal’s Sagbo also scored 10 goals each.
 
254 goal assists
The total number of goal assists reached 254 passes during the QSL first leg. Al Rayyan Sergio Garcia is on top with 9 assists in 12 games, followed by his teammate Rodrigo Tabata with 8 assists same as Al Rayyan’s Sebastian Soria, Lekhwiya’s Nam Tae Hee and Al Sadd’s Xavi.
 
2340 shots
The total number of shots during the QSL first leg reached 2340. The total number of shots on goal reached 1065. As for the most accurate players in shooting, Tabata is on top with 76%, followed by El Jaish’s Rashidov with 63% and then Al Sadd’s Muriqui with 62%.
 
47 penalties
The number of penalties awarded in all first leg fixtures were 47, out of which 37 penalties were scored while only 10 were missed.
 
406 yellow cards & 18 red cards
The total number of yellow cards in the first leg reached 406 while the total number of red cards was 18 within 91 games.
 
10 kilometers average distance covered per player From the figures and statistics revealed from the QSL first leg, the average distance covered per player reached 10259, which indicates the toughness of the matches between all teams.
 
Qatar Sports Club player Han Keoky comes on top followed by Al Rayyan’ Tabata.
 
Creating goal-scoring opportunities
Tabata also comes on top of the players in creating goal-scoring opportunities with total of 53 attempts in 13 games followed by Al Sadd’s Xavi with 45 attempts and then Lekhwiya’s Nam Tae Hee with 39 attempts.
 
Crossed balls
Al Sadd Algerian player Nadhir Belhajj is on top of the players regarding the number of crossed balls with total of 75 balls in 13 games followed by Umm Salal’s Ismail Ibrahim with 67 and Al Arabi’s Ali Jassemi with 66.
 
Xavi is the best in the number of passes The total number of passes executed by the Barcelona superstar Xavi Hernandez reached 1265 passes within the QSL first leg followed by Al Ahli’s Mujtaba Jabbari with 831 passes and then Al Sadd’s Nadhir Belhajj with 815 passes.
Also Xavi is on top regarding the successful passes with total of 454 passes followed by Mesaimeer’s Mohamed Noury with 267 passes and then Lekhwiya’s Ahmed Yasser with 264 passes.
 
Dispossession
Al Kharaitiyat Brazilian player Domingos comes on top of all players with the most dispossessed balls with total of 274 successful attempts, followed by Umm Salal’s Brazilian player Wilton Silva with
269 attempts and then Al Arabi’s Khokhi Boualem with 268 attempts. As for the statistics related to intercepting passes and balls, Al Arabi’s Boulaem comes on top followed by Umm Salal’s Wilton Silva and then Al Sailiyah’s Gregore.
 
Percentage of successful saves
Al Sadd goalkeeper Muhannad Naim is on top of all goalkeepers with the highest percentage in successful saved balls reched 78.3% in the first five games he played with his team during the first leg followed by Al Rayyan goalkeeper Omar Bari with 77.3% and then Al Wakara goalkeeper Mohamed Anias with 76.5% who participated in eight games for his side.
 
Al Haydoos is the best in sprints
Al Sadd football player Hassan Al Haydoos is on top of all players in terms of the sprints with total of 698 sprints in 13 games, followed by Al Rayyan’s Mohamed Jumaa with 685 and then his teammate Tabata with 642 sprints.
 
Controlling the ball
Al Rayyan is on top all QSL teams in terms of ball possession and control during the first leg. The team is the best in the distance covered, the number of shots on target and the number attempts to enter the opponents’ goal areas.
Al Sadd is the best in terms of successful one-touch passes and short passes.
