Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi believes extra effort on the pitch from his players can translate into wins when needed the most.

Buoyed by three consecutive wins in as many rounds, Al Sailiya now take on Al Arabi at Al Ahli Stadium on Sunday in a round 13 clash of the Qatar Stars League (QSL).

"There is no such thing as an easy game and no team wins without effort," Trabelsi said on Saturday during a pre-match press conference.

"Each and every game we have to put lots of efforts in order to win.
Al Arabi is a big name and with their loud fans, this could be a really an exciting game," Trabelsi said.

“The team has achieved positive results in the last three rounds. This is all due to the efforts of the players," Trabelsi said. Al Sailiyah are placed seventh in the points standings.

"We will move on with the same determination during the coming game against Al Arabi as we are well aware of the difficulty of this match because we will be playing against a very distinguished team that has dangerous players," the coach said,

Commenting on the pre-match hype in the words of Al Sailiyah Sports Club President Abdullah Al Aidah, he said: “We track these matters, but we are not affected by external pressures. Our reply is always on the field of play and we are working towards protecting our players.
We respect all our opponents.”

Al Arabi coach Gianfranco Zola said he had been following Al Sailiya's performances in the last three rounds.

"We have been preparing for this game keeping in mind how Al Sailiyah have performance in the last few games," Zola said on Saturday.

"Al Sailiya has demonstrated good performances in recent games and achieved good results. But I know that Al Arabi also is willing to win this game,” Zola said.

The Al Arabi coach said “I am familiar with the atmosphere prior to such games, but we are required to play with positive energy in such emotionally-charged gamee.”

The former Chelsea coach said he is not under pressure as fourth-placed Al Arabi close the gap on the top three sides.

"This strong competition between the four top teams doesn’t affect me or put pressure on me," Zola said.

"We are in a much better standing now than last season. It is true that it is very difficult to maintain such standing but this also applies to other teams as well. We are working to reach another level now. The most important thing is to focus on the coming game to end the first leg positively," Zola said.

Commenting on the missing players, Zola said: “Adel Lami will be back in this coming game, while there are some other players with minor injuries to be determined during the coming few hours.”

The game will start at 16:00 at Al Ahli Stadium.
