Match kick-off at 20:15 on Sat, 7th at the Abdulla bin Khalifa stadium

El Jaish head coach Sabri Lamouchi:
“Our next game against Qatar SC is a chance for us to get another positive result. We know that it will be a difficult game but we will stick to our style of play. We have had this week to prepare the game. We will look at our players and put the best eleven on the field for the match in order to get that win and get those vital three points.”

“Qatar SC has very good players. They are coming from a defeat but it was a difficult game. It wasn't easy for Gharafa to beat them. So we know that we will have a tough game but we will do our best to beat them. We have a small chance to win the title. But for that we have to keep taking the maximum points from every game. And we also need to keep a watchful eye on the teams below us to ensure that we don't lose our third place. We have to be extra careful because teams like Ahli and Qatar SC are closing in.”

“When I came in, I was gauging the level of the players. Now game by game, I am working on getting the right combination. The team is becoming stronger and now I know the ability of the players and the position where they are most effective.”

“Whether we will be title contenders next year is a question for later. We have to think about this season and importantly, the next game. I know what I want and I know what I don't want. So we are working on that. But next season is not something that's on our minds right now.”

Qatar SC coach Radhi Shenaishil:
“I think against Gharafa had a good game against us and sadly we lost. I believe that sometimes even when you play well, you can still lose. But for me the biggest disappointment was not the defeat but that I lost five players after that match. Two players are injured and three will miss out because of the cards they received. We were affected by the refereeing. We know what it’s part of football but we have had problems with the same referee in the past too.  There are times when teams can sometimes miss 5 or 6 players without any problem but it will be tough for us.”

“But we will try to get other players to replace those missing this game. Missing five players also means that you also affect the rhythm of the team. So my target now is to find a group of 11 players that can give a good game against El Jaish.”

“Five players will miss the game they are: Harboui, Fadael Omar, Mohamed Omar - four yellow cards
Keeper Maher Yosuf and Khalid Zakeeba who got injured.”

“We lost some points that were in our hands. But we are still aiming for a top-4 finish. Gharafa are also playing with the same target in mind. But we need to keep working and take maximum points from the remaining games. We deserve to be in the top 4 because we have been here for a long time.”

QSC Player Medhat Mustapha:
“Jaish is a team that is improving. They are better than they were at the start of the season. They have a lot of players in the national team. So they are always ready. We also have quality players and we can achieve our target of a top 4 finish if we perform well. And we have the quality to achieve that. With the new coach and the support of the administration - they have tried to help players regain their form and our ambition is keep our place in the fourth place. And also we can play for third place because there is just a difference of three points.”
