Al Ahli against El Jaish in round 5 of the Qatar Stars League was played at the Grand Hamad stadium on Friday the 26th of September.




The brigadiers had lost their previous match to Al Gharafa 1-0 in round 4 and things didn’t look to be any easier when they lined up against El Jaish last Friday.




In the end the Soldiers proved too strong for Al Ahli as they roared home to a 2-0 win. The first goal came on the 32nd minute when Rizk converted from the penalty spot.




The one nil lead was at times looking shaky for El Jaish as Al Ahli tried to get a point out of the game.




Yet it was not to be when on the 90th minute Mohammed Muntari was part of a devastating El Jaish counter attack. The Ghanaian struck his placed finish from just outside the box and inside the near post to allay all fears of an Ahli equalizer late on.




The result leaves Al Ahli in 7th with 7 points and El Jaish raise up to 5th with 9 points in the Qatar Stars League.
